New Springs Schools PTO!
Dear Families of New Springs Schools,
New Springs Schools PTO is about men and women working together toward a common goal. That goal is creating a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We are moms and dads, uncles and aunts, grandparents and friends who have a genuine interest in the education of our children.
Our mission is to promote an environment where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning. The key to a successful PTO is the involvement of the entire school community. Research shows that students whose parents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems in school. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we are a hands-on organization with a belief that our children are our greatest investment in life.
There are so many ways to become involved in NSSPTO and we need your help. You can attend the monthly meetings, serve on a committee, and/or volunteer at a PTO-sponsored event. Whatever fits best with your schedule. As a completely volunteer organization, we can never have too many helpers or too many new ideas. Our work goes beyond raising money, whatever time you have to volunteer, we have an activity for you. Please consider attending a PTO Meeting. The meetings are a great way to hear about upcoming events. Volunteer Sign-Up Sheets are emailed periodically during the school year.
Our meetings are held in the New Springs Library at 5:00 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. Any date and/or time changes to this meeting schedule will be communicated in advance. Our meetings are very informal and are open to all parents and teachers of NSS students. You do not need to be a board member or serve on a committee to participate in the PTO.
