ELL/Gifted Teacher
New Springs Inc. dba New Springs Schools has one opening available for the position of ELL/Gifted Teacher with the following qualifications:
Requires U.S. Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Education, or related field. Requires 6 months of
experience as a English Teacher in an elementary or middle school level. Also requires Florida Educator’s
Certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages (K-12) with a Gifted endorsement or an official statement of eligibility is required per state law. Background check required.
Job duties for the position include:
Instruct ELL (English Language Learners) and gifted students in elementary and middle school (Grades K-8). Create lesson plans following the Individual Education Program (IEP) and instructional materials that cater to the needs of ELL and gifted students. Implement individualized education plans for gifted students, ensuring that each student’s unique abilities and interests are addressed. Design and deliver differentiated lessons that challenge and engage gifted students, catering to their advanced learning needs. Assess gifted student progress regularly through formative assessments and adjust instructions accordingly. Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, class discussions, and structured study teams as well as innovative instructional methods such as project- based learning, inquiry-based instruction and critical thinking exercises to guide students. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure ELL and gifted students receive appropriate support and accommodations in all areas of their education. Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to resolve student’s behavioral and academic problems or to discuss students’ progress, and to determine students’ priorities and needs.
We are offering a salary of $59,180 per year, full time.

Science Teacher

Requires U.S. Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Education or related field. Also requires two years of experience as a science teacher, teaching at elementary or middle school level. Stated experience must include coaching Science Olympiad teams. Also requires Florida Educator’s Certificate in General Science (Grades 5-9) or an official statement of eligibility is required per state law. Must pass background check.
Job duties for the position include:
Instruct elementary and middle school students in grades K-8 in science, chemistry and other relevant areas. Design interdisciplinary learning experiences that fulfill the State of Florida’s standards and are consistent with the school’s mission of preparing students to reach their maximum potential in all subjects with emphasis on mathematics, science, and reading. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests using flexible grouping based on on-going assessment to confer with students and provide differentiated instruction. Choose instructional practices, compelling topics, in-depth investigations, and detailed project plans to include plans for integrating interdisciplinary instruction as well as to promote character development in students. Guide students as they explore the school’s problem-centered curriculum and develop an in-dept understanding of important science concepts embedded within each activity. Expose students to problem solving, communication, and reasoning activities through laboratory experiments and real-world applications. Use a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, class discussions, and structured study teams as well as innovative instructional methods such as project-based instruction, computer-enhance activities, and other equipment and material to encourage students to develop a positive attitude towards science and facilitate the learning of each area. Promote the students’ academic potential and interest in computing through guided instruction individual and teamwork, data collection, class work, and homework activities. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students’ progress. Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations. Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems or to discuss students’ progress, and to determine students’ priorities and needs. Coach Science Olympiad teams by facilitating the program and guiding students to achieve high levels of knowledge for the subject.
